In a laky East Aukštaitija recess, Aukštaitija National Park, a remarkable old street village of Ginučiai is situated. Its name is spotlighted by a nearby Ginučiai mound, on which, it is believed, one of the last castles protecting Lithuania from the Livonian Brothers of the Sword stood, together with Ginučiai mill with all collected artefacts of the water mill. A waterfall unburdens shoulders loaded with work of those visiting here. On a cloudless day, one can enjoy looking at the territory of 10 000 ha of a beautiful landscape from Ledakalnis Ice Hill overlooking 6 lakes. The Lithuanian Museum of Ancient Beekeeping is a unique one through all the Baltic States. Here one can also find Trainiškis Oak being 800 years old and a view tower. Ethnographic villages of Srazdai, Salos, Šuminai (where the movie Tadas Blinda was filmed) and many more places of interest are located here. In this Village, the owners of V. and G. Gaideliai village tourism homestead, located onshore of a picturesque Srovintis lake, kindly welcome visitors and invite them to enjoy the services of the homestead. The homestead keepers will satisfy your needs, provide food, offer engagement in exciting activities, boating or pedaloing on Srovinaitis lake, enjoying the Russian bath and using guiding services. Fishing fans will have an opportunity to enjoy a catch both in winter and during the summer; however, in case you are not good at fishing, the owner will provide fresh fish personally or will invite you to a tasting of a fish soup uniquely prepared according to a century old recipe. East Aukštaitija has always had two major natural resources - wood and water. Naturally, the tradition of the cooking of the fish soup has developed through centuries. From stories of fishermen and antecedents we give the benefit of all cooking process along with the legends and stories of Aukštaitija. Lovers of active leisure may go canoeing according to the routes set by the owner agreeably to your potential and physical shape. The homestead is suitable both for individual and group leisure - six cosy rooms can accommodate 16 persons. Next to the homestead, on the lake shore, a tent camping site with arbours and fridges is situated. Volleyball and basketball fields are also nearby. The homestead with all amenities can house 16 persons. Price per day: We would like you to take notice that the waters of the lakes of Aukštaitija National Park are interconnected by various channels and streams. Thus, if you set off from the shore of Srovinaitis lake, you will be able to reach many mentioned and other places of interest by water roads. Visitors are kindly welcome to V. and G.
